My name’s Gwion Llwyd. My wife, Louise, and I run a small bed and breakfast on a working Welsh hill farm in Dyffryn Ardudwy, Snowdonia. We have two daughters Lowri and Seren, two cats, Oscar and Mog, two ducks, Will and Martha, and a dog called Del. Oh, and about 200 sheep and 40 or so cows.
Louise and I both gave up our office jobs in 2005 and moved back to Byrdir, my childhood home, to have a go at running a B&B. A lot of guests show an interest in our lives here at Byrdir so I thought I might start an online diary in the form of a blog. I hope you enjoy reading it and please add your comments where possible.
From time to time I check out your web site and now your blog.
Soooo refreshing to see your fresh natural children and environment – I live in London – quite the opposite I’m afraid.
One of these days I will come and stay in the B & B, but with only 16 days holiday a year it won’t be this one sadly.
I love the version of ‘Some where over the rainbow’ on the ‘Seren a Lowri’ movie, and if you ever have a moment I would love to know who is singing it as I would like to get a copy of it for my grandchild.
with fondest thoughts of you all in Wales
